Lao people said that eating "sticky rice" will make them be full for a long time, which helps them energetic throughout the working day. Because of that habit, Lao people have special Lam rice dish. Lam rice are like the familiar processing in the mountains of Northwest Vietnam.
Grilled dishes of Laos are very distinctive and attractive. Stepping into the eateries and night markets of Laos, you will easily see barbecue stalls displaying sequential tables with banana leaves above.
Laap in Laos
Laap is made from animal meat, usually beef, deer meat or can be buffalo meat or fish. Laap is for a party dish, usually served on special occasions or for honor guests. An indispensable dish when referring to Lao cuisine is Laap. 


Most restaurants, eateries in Laos have this dish. In the meals, papaya salad is almost indispensable dish. Papaya salad can be eaten with beer or sticky rice, the scent of spices, sweet and sour taste will bring to each guest a unique feel.
Moss on rocks, river banks, streams are cleaned, refined, added spices and pressed into thin sheets. Deep fried moss has dark green color. Laotian cuisine will be less interesting if we do not mention Lao moss. Lao moss mysterious but familiar. The chicken after cleaning is put into bamboo sticks for charcoal baking.
